1.Wheat flour  - 1 1/3 cup
2.Banana - 1(mashed)
3.Elachi powder - 1/2tsp
4.Powdered jaggery - 1cup
5.Shredded coconut - 1/4 cup
6.Oil - for deep frying
7.Water - 2/3 - 1cup
1.In a bowl add jaggery,water and let it sit for 5mts or till jaggery gets melted completely.
2.Add wheat flour,shredded coconut,elachi powder,mashed banana to the jaggery water and mix well with out lumps.
3.Heat oil in a vessel.Once the oil is hot,reduce the flame to medium and slowly drop 1 tsp batter in the oil.Repeat the same process for the rest of the batter.Turn the flame into medium high and fry the appalu into nice golden color.Stir in between to cook on  both sides.
