Gulab jamoon
Ingredients
1.APF - 1/4 cup
2.Dry milk pwd - 1 cup
3.Ghee - 2tbsp +1tsp
4.Oil - for deep frying
5.Nuts - for garnishing
For syrup
1.Sugar - 1cup
2.Cardamon pwd -1/4 tsp
3.water - 1cup
Method:
1.In a pan add sugar ,water and boil it in medium flame for 5-7 mts.Add cardamom pwd.
2.In a bowl sieve milk pwd,APF and 2tbsp ghee. Mis very well.
3.Add water and make dough.Keep aside.Do not knead dough too much.
4.Rub your hands with ghee and make the balls into 12 .
5.Heat oil in apan.Do not turn the oil in smoking point.Heat in medium flame.
6.Drop the jamoons oil and fry umtil it changes the color.
7.Take out the jamoons and add to syrup.Let it soak for 45 mts.
8.Serve cold.
Notes: Milk pwd is a substitute for khoya.As per my observation these jamoons are slightly hard than the jamoons made with ready made pwd.
