Ingredients
1.Beerakaya/Ridge gourd - 1/2kg
2.Onion - 1
3.Garlic - 3 cloves(crushed)
4.Coriander powder - 1/2tsp
5.Salt - to taste
6.Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
7.Red chilli powder - 1tsp
For seasoning
1.Oil - 2tsp
2.Mustard seeds - 1/2tsp
3.Jeera - 1/2tsp
4.Chana dhal - 1tsp
Method
1.Peel the skin and slice the ridge gourd pieces.Boil the ridge gourd in water.Add salt,turmeric powder and boil for 4-5mts.Drain the water and keep it aside.
2.Heat oil in a flat pan.Add mustard seeds,jeera,chana dhal and fry.Add onions and saute for 3-4mts.
3.Add ridge gourd pieces and saute in high flame by turning around.Add crushed garlic,coriander powder,adjust salt and saute for 5-6mts.
4.Add red chilli powder and fry a minute.Turn off the stove and transfer it into the bowl.
5. Serve with rice.
