Andhra special Chepala pulusu/Fish puli


Ingredients:
1.Milk fish fillets - 10 pcs
2.Tamarind pulp (loosely packed) - 3/4th cup
3.Red chilli pwd - 3tsp
4.Turmeric Pwd - 1tsp
5.Ginger garlic paste - 3tsp
6.Salt - to taste
7.onions - 2 medium size(finely chopped)
8.Green chillies - 4
9.Oil - 1/2 cup



Method:1.Soak the tamarind in 1 cup of water for 30 mts and extract the thick tamarind juice keep it in a separate bowl.
2.In a bowl add fish pieces,turmeric pwd,chilli pwd,ginger garlic paste and tamarind juice and mix very well.
3.Heat oil in a wide bottom med vessel and carefully arrange the fish fillets and tamarind mixture and cook in high flame for 3mts. Add green chillies.Turn the flame in med hi cover and cook for 10mts til the tamarind sauce thickens and the oil separates.
4.Garnish with coriander leaves.
5.Serve hot with rice.


Notes:Do not turn the fillets.Fillets will break.Leave the pulusu for few hours.Fish will absorb the tamarind sauce and tangy flavor.

You can use any fish or salmon fish in place of milk fish for pulusu
.
