Chakkara Pongal

1.Rice- 3/4cup
2.Milk - 2cup
3.water - 1cup
4.Moong dhal - 1/4 cup
5.Jaggery - 1 1/4 cup
6.Ghee - 1/4cup
7.Cardamom Powder - 1/4 tsp
8.Cashew nuts - 2tbsp (fried in 1tbspghee)
9.Grated coconut (or) Fresh coconut (chopped into pieces) - 1/4cup

 1.Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.Add cashew nuts and fry for 2 minutes till it changes its color.Remove the cashew nuts and fry moong dhal in remaining ghee for 3mts.
2. Wash the rice and add it to the moong dhal,1cup water,1cup milk and pressure cook for 15 minutes in medium flame (or) 3 whistles.
3.Once the pressure releases,remove the lid mash the rice,add 1cup milk,jaggery and cook in low flame till the jaggery melts.
4.Add ghee,fried cashew nuts,coconut,cardamom powder and combine well.
