Thumbprint cookies

1.All purpose flour  - 1 1/4 cup
2.Vanilla essence - 2 tsp
3.Sugar - 1/4 cup+1tbsp
4.Straw berry jam - 3tbsp
5.Butter - 1/2 cup
1.In a bowl beat butter,sugar and vanilla essence till light and    fluffy.
2.Add flour to the butter,sugar mixture and make into dough
3.Wrap the dough and refrigerate for 1 hour till the dough becomes hard enough.
4.Divide the dough into 24 equal size balls and make an indent    in center using your thumb.
5.Fill straw berry jam in middle of each cookie and arrange on a cookie sheet.
6.Pre heat oven to 325 degrees.
7.Bake the cookies for 15 minutes.
8.Remove the cookies from oven and cool them for 10 minutes.
9.Store it air tight container for 1 week.
