Dondakaya fry with peanuts powder

 
 Ingredients
1.Dondakaya/Tindora - 250gms(slit)
2.Onion - 1cup(sliced)
3.Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
4.Salt -  to taste
Dry roast and make into Powder
1.Dry red chillies - 4
2.Peanuts - 3tbsp
3.Coriander seeds - 1tbsp
4.Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
5.Sesame seeds - 1tbsp
For seasoning
 1.Mustard seeds - 1tsp
2.Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
3.Chana dhal - 1tsp
4.Urad dhal - 1tsp
5.Oil - 3tbsp
6.Curry leaves - few 
Method
1.Nip the ends of tindora and cut into slices.Keep this aside.
2.Heat oil in a flat bottomed pan.Add mustard seeds,once it starts spluttering add cumin seeds,chana dal,urad dhal and curry leaves.
3.Add onions,salt and fry for 3mts in medium high flame.
4.Add tindora slices,turmeric powder and mix well.Fry for 3mts in medium flame.
5.Dry roast all the ingredients under dry roast section and make into powder.
6.Add the powder to tindora pieces and mix well.Cook in medium flame by covering the lid for 10-12mts.
7.Open the lid and stir to avoid any burning .Cook in medium low flame for 5mts.
8.Turn the flame to high and fry in high flame for 2mts.
9.Turn off the flame and transfer it into the bowl.
10.Serve with rice.

Coconut Chicken


Ingredients
1.Chicken - 1whole chicken (cut into bite size pieces)
2.Fresh Coconut - 11/4 cup
3.Shallots - 30(Peel and cut into halves)
4.Curry leaves - 1-15
5.Coriander seeds - 3tsp
6.Salt - to taste
7.Green chillies - 9
8.Red chillies - 4
9.Ginger garlic paste - 2tbsp
10.Oil - 5tbsp

Method
1.Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder and salt for 10 mts.
2.Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan,Add coriander seeds and fry for 3mts.To this add shallots and fry for 4 mts.
3.Add fresh coconut pieces,green chillies,red chillies ,curry leaves ,salt and fry for 5 mts in medium flame.
4.Blend all the ingredients and grind into a coarse paste.
5.Heat 3tbsp oil in a pan.Add marinated chicken pieces and cook on high flame for 2mts.
6.Once it starts cooking add onion and coconut paste to the pieces and cook on high flame for 4mts.
7.Turn the flame into medium and cook for 15-18 mts in medium flame by covering the lid.Keep stirring in between.
8.Turn off the flame once you get desired consistency.
9.Serve with rice or chapatti.
